Samsung X700 Related Softwares

Here are some softwares for better usage of your Samsung X700 mobile.

 MPEG4 DIRECT MAKER:

Here is the fully featured MP4 Video / 3GP mobile video converter named as "MPEG4 DIRECT MAKER". It has only one limitation that it is 30 days unregistered version but you can make complete DVD movie into MP4 or 3GP video files ... There is NO file size restrictions... After installation, open "MPEG4 Direct Maker" and go to "Tools" menu and then click to  "Multiple video format converter".

Now, go to "Options".... Setup destination file formats....

Select "mp4 simple profile" as file format ( if making mp4 file)....

Or Select "3GP aac audio for music" as file format ( if making 3gp file)....

Video bitrate: 120 to 160 kbps (depends on file because for some files, X700 allows you to go upto 210 kbps if source video file is made through TV tuner card)...

Audio bitrate: 48 to 60 kbps , Sample rate: 11025 khz , Channel: Stereo....

Resizing image : 176 x 144 pixels ( don't increase it because X700 cannot support higher than this!)

Frame Rate : 15

Select Image Mode : Auto ( if source file is a DVD movie vob file)
Select Image Mode : RGB24 ( if source file is AVI, divX, dat vcd ,mpg , WMV)
Select destination file format : MP4 / MOV/ PSP / 3GP

Now, click file menu....open files....when file is loaded.... Check on name of opened file (on right side).... And click "convert"..That's it!. You can set beginning and end positions of mp4 file and click " convert beginning position to end position"....

Please don't increase resultant mp4 file size above 30 MB since for bigger file, X700 cannot play video smoothly....So ideal mp4 file size is 10 to 15 MB.... And complete DVD will be converted into 9 to 12 MP4 video files which you can easily transfer into X700's memory card using USB Mass Storage Option ..

Make a new folder in memory card's video folder and put all these mp4 files in it.... You will be amazed about the audio / video quality of mp4 file.... Much better and louder than 3gp....

Note : You can Extract Audio as an MP3 file from all kinds of video files with the help of this software. Just open "MPEG4 Direct Maker" and go to "Tools" menu and then click to  "Multiple video format converter". Now, go to "Options".... Select destination file format : MP3 Audio format. and again go to "Options".... Setup destination file formats.... and select bitrate, sampling rate, channels etc. and proceed.
 

PSM Player 5.0 :

To increase mmf ringtones volume or to make vibrating ringtones, use "PSM Player" software. I am using version 5.0 on windows XP. You can download latest PSM Player 5.0 from HERE.

Start PSM Player and click "File" menu then click "open" to select ringtone file ( mmf,midi.... ). This will load the selected ringtone. You can play the ringtone before conversion. To convert mmf into midi, first load mmf file then go to file menu then select "create midi" option. This will show a dialogue box, select check box "ringtone mode" then press OK. You will see a save dialogue box. Click to save button. That's it. You have successfully created midi ringtone from mmf file.

To increase volume of mmf file, load mmf file then go to settings menu and select volume option. Set volume and master volume . Click to apply then OK . Play this before saving. If OK then go to file menu..... Create smaf then smaf 40 chords . Then if you want to add vibration in it, select vibrator check box and then click OK. Then click to save button. This is mmf file with high volume/vibration. You can convert midi into mmf file. Just load midi file then select "create smaf" option .... Click OK , then click save button....

IMPORTANT: Please don't increase vibrator value to above 10.....otherwise vibration does not work!.... the ideal value for vibrator is 1 .

MP TRIM : 

To increase the volume of MP3 audio files, I am using "mptrim" freeware software. (You can increase volume upto +6dB with no distortion ) ....you can download this from mptrim.com .Or download from HERE.

The sound quality of final mp3 file (played on X700 through speakers) is still very good after increasing the volume level to +6dB.... but distortion will be increased if trying to increase dB value.... You can almost double the mp3 file's volume by this software....

After downloaded this "mptrim" software to PC, Click to it's exe file and open any mp3 file present on your PC.... Then adjust volume control to +6dB.... Then, select "Save As" menu option and click "Save" button.... Within 1 second , new mp3 file with high volume will be created!.... Transfer it to your mobile through usb cable or bluetooth....

This software makes JAR/ JAD files from any text (.txt) file or Web page (.html) or simple Word (.doc) file .... which you can download to your X700 through OTA ( over the air) means through WAP Internet or through USB cable easily.....
