You
can access internet from
PC using X700's internet connection....First of all, install Samsung
PC Studio 3 software from CD of X700.... Now, connect your
X700 with PC using usb cable and open the software... You will see SGH-X700
Connected message ....
Now, click Manage Internet Connections icon.... You
will see a
networking wizard .... Just click Next button....
Now select
Create a new connection option.... and click Next button....
Now, enter the connection name in the textbox ( enter any name as you
like).... and click Next button.... Now, select the
modem (Samsung Mobile USB Modem 1.0) to be used for
internet connection .... Click Next
button....Select the country nameand
your Service Provider's name... if not listed your
country's name then select country name as Others....
Enter APN name of your service provider.... (you
can get this by going to wap browser on X700.... profile
settings....select your wap profile....go to GPRS Settings.... APN
Name)
Enter this phone number : *99**1*1#
Click Next then again click Next
button.... Now click Finish button.... You will see
a Networking Wizard dialog box that If you connect
to the internet via your phone, PC Studio will be disconnected. Do You
want to connect to the Internet?.... If you want to connect
now, click
Yes button.... You will see connect dialog box .... Just
Click Dial
button.... With in 5-6 seconds, your PC will be connected at 460kb/s
speed....If you have postpaid connection like
"Mobilink Indigo" then there is nothing to worry about the cost of this
internet connection since you have to pay a fixed amount of money (say
500 pak rupees / month for unlimited internet access). But if you have prepaid
connection like "Mobilink Jazz" then use this internet connection only
for emergency purpose.... because it is very very costly as compared
when you use gprs ( by wap browser / opera mini ) on your
X700....

# 02 :
Gmail
Account Setting on
your Samsung X700
You
can send / receive emails with file
attachments using email client of Samsung X700. To do it, you must have
a POP3 email account. Till now, YAHOO and HOTMAIL doesn't
provide POP3 facility on their free accounts. While google's Gmail
is providing this service for free (There are some other free POP3
email providers like inbox).
So i am giving the complete procedure that how you can use email
service of your Gmail account on your mobile.
Just
follow the
instructions below:
1.Log in to your Gmail account from PC.
2.Click Settings at the top of Gmail page.
3.Click Forwarding and POP in the orange Mail
Settings box.
4. On POP download section, select Enable
POP for all mails.
5. Click Save Changes ... A message will appear
that Your preferences have been saved....
Log Out from your account.... Now it's time to configure your X700
email client .....
Go to menu/ messages/ settings/ Email/ Email Account/ Account
Settings.
Select Account 1 and Write these settings :
Account Name : Gmail
User Name : ( Just write your name only like Usman
, not your Gmail ID )
Email Address : Your Gmail Address (
username@gmail.com )
Reply Address : Same as Above
User ID : Your Gmail ID ( username )
Password : Your Gmail account Password
SMTP Server : smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port : 465
Protocol Type : POP3
POP3 Server : pop.gmail.com
POP3 Port : 995
APOP login : Keep it Unchecked
Secure Connection : Keep it Checked
Click Save.
Now go Back and check current account as Gmail. go
back and select
Email Profile/ Profile Settings.
and select Profile 1. ( Note: these are only
applicable with my service provider Mobilink Jazz.
For your own service, please contact your service provider )
Profile Name : Jazz Connect
APN : jazzconnect.mobilinkworld.com
Login ID : ( Keep Blank )
Password : ( Keep Blank )
DNS1: 0.0.0.0
DNS2 : 0.0.0.0
Click Save. Check current profile as Jazz
Connect.
Now go to My messages/ Email Box/ Check New Mail. You
will retrieve your emails .... Also check that on Email
Receive Settings, you have selected
(Retrieve option : Normal).
IMPORTANT : After Sign-in
to
your Gmail account on PC... Go to
Settings/ Forwarding and POP/ POP Download.... When messages
are accessed with POP : Select Keep Gmail's copy in the
inbox.... and please don't select Delete Gmail's
copy .... otherwise when you retrieve any mail from X700,
that will be deleted from your Gmail's inbox/sent box immediately. So,
beware of this selection.

FLURRY
MAIL Freeware
Software for X700:
I
have installed
FLURRY MAIL freeware
software on my X700. So i can
access to my yahoo
INBOX from my X700 using gprs connection. This flurry mail
software can handle several email accounts at a time including Gmail,
Hotmail, Yahoo and so on.
Go to flurry
from your PC (or Opera
Mini on X700) to signup. After registeration ( which is free ), you
will receive a text sms message within 1 or 2
minutes on your X700. Open this sms and go to options
then "cut address" and then select "Go to
url"
of jad file. This will install
the
software through gprs connection.
This is very fast and also totally free!.... It has OFFLINE
support. You can read, delete, reply, forward, write new mail, check
new mails, read contacts details, add complete addressbook of your
email account and many more options.
Don't install it through getjar or any other site
because if you install it from flurry.com site,
then you will get latest version and after login to
this site, you can add more email accounts to your
flurry mail software and you can also change the settings and if new
version is available, you can update it easily.

Opera
Mini Freeware Web
Browser for X700:
Use
Opera Mini 3.1 or Version 4.0 beta
as a
web browser on your X700.... I must say that Opera Mini
is the best ever web browser for any mobile till now... You can view
any web site, check yahoo, gmail accounts.... You can post messages/
replies to web sites for publishing.... also you can send emails after
login to your email accounts ... You can download images/ MP3's from
any web page by selecting the desired image/ MP3's.
You can download mp3 files to X700 mobile from web sites... But when
clicks on download image or mp3 file, opera pauses and asks to launck
wap? If press YES,then downloading with wap browser starts.... And you
can see the number of kb receiving.... After saving image, it will be
asked to resume game? By clicking "Yes", opera will open the last
visited page.....But you can only download maximum 1024KB file because
this is the downloading limit for X700's wap browser.... Also Opera has
image zoom in / magnifying option when clicking any image....
You can add unlimited bookmarks to opera mini.... Browsing history
option is also very good....
You can get Opera Mini web browser by pointing your phone's WAP browser
to
http://mini.opera.com/
and
click on "Download Opera Mini" link.... Answer "yes" to all
installation messages and enjoy browsing the full web from your
phone....
or from PC's web browser, go to
OperaMiniand select
your country.... enter your
mobile number.... then enter
the text
that you see in the picture and click "Get Opera Mini"
button.... You will receive an sms with downloading
link on your mobile within few seconds.... Open this sms and go to
options, then "cut address" and then select "Go
to url".... This will install the software through GPRS
connection ....
If you want to install it through USB cable, then on your PC, go to
JAVA
Games page and download version 3.1 or 4.0 beta on your PC
then
follow the procedure to install softwares for Samsung mobiles through
USB cable:

both version 3.1 & version 4.0 beta together without
