21 : How to access memory card data in the
PC
For
memory card access, use
mass storage function . You can save files directly to memory
card to/from PC using USB data cable. Now,connect D900 to PC through USB
cable Go to menu/ settings/ phone settings/ USB settings….
Select mass storage option and press "save"
soft key. and immediately you will see a new
removable disk in my computer. Just copy/paste
files to PC or from PC to D900's memory card.
VERY IMPORTANT: After all
works have been done, do

27 : How to install java through USB data
cable
To install
large java applications or if
your connection is not wap enabled, you can install java through data
cable. You can get instructions for this at Phone
tutorials. Follow the
instructions exactly. After every installation, remember to type
#*536961# on the phone and to CLEAR the APN field of network settings
in Java.
OR just
follow the
instructions given in this pdf guide : Install
Games On X700This also works for D900 as well.
TIP #
28 : Selecting video size
This can record videos in CIF(352X288), QVGA(320X240)
& QCIF(176X144) sizes. The video will best-fit in the
phone screen in size 320x240 and this is the most
suitable size for viewing in computer also. But if you like to watch
the video in TV, using TV-out cable or other means, record in 352x288
to best-fit on TV screen. Select 176x144 for MMS
and 128x96 for e-mails.
TIP #
29 : How a TV-out cable works
A
TV-out cable is a special
enhancement of Samsung
phones. One end of the cable fits in the charger port and the other end
has 3 jacks-red, white and yellow, exactly like the DVD
player to TV connector. Once you connect phone and TV, the
entire display of the phone is shifted to the TV as a big display and
the phone screen becomes dark! Watching the display on TV, you can
operate the phone in the normal way-the only difference being the
display is on the TV screen. When a video is opened, it automatically
occupies full-screen of TV. You can watch photos,
use file viewer, browse internet, play games etc watching the TV or
hear music through the TV speakers.

# 31 : How to save memory by resizing big
images:
For viewing in the phone, photos need not be large. So once you have
backed-up the ‘My photos’ (bigger than 640x480) in
pc, you may reduce their size and save phone memory, if you want to
keep them. For resizing, select ‘edit’ from
options. When photo is opened in image editor, select ‘save
as’ from options. Save with the new name and it is resized to
640x480. You can then delete the old one.
TIP
# 32 : How to move photos from
computer, BACK TO
"My Photos":
Only, photos in ‘My Photos’ folder, can be zoomed,
edited, and viewed in full screen. And only, photos taken with the
phone’s camera can be saved in ‘My
Photos’ folder. But if you move a captured photo to PC, it
cannot be moved back to 'My Photos' folder directly- it will move to
'downloaded images' only. For moving back into My Photos folder, first
move into ‘Favourite images’, then to 'My Photos'.
(Note: You
can’t move an external image into My Photos folder)
